Frequently Asked Questions
Because there are always questions!
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
The program is open to children, ages 5-10 who are Swim Team/ Mini Dolphins members and/or are enrolled in Tennis Clinics. Children must be potty-trained and water safe (children will not be permitted to swim unless in team practice). Please do not bring sick children. If children are too sick for practice they may not attend Dolphin Days.
HOW DO I SIGN UP? HOW DO I PAY?
This year, sign-ups and payments will be through a new system, Membership Toolkit. Families will receive an invite via Meadow communications. Fees are $30 per day. Payment will be by credit card and/or PayPal at the time of registration.
ARE CANCELLATIONS REFUNDABLE?
A reservation is refundable ONLY if your space can be filled by someone on the waitlist. If your space can be filled by someone on the waiting list, you will receive a refund; however, if we cannot fill your space, you will not be reimbursed.
HOW DO I GET ON THE WAITLIST?
If all the spaces are reserved for a given day, you will automatically be added to the Waitlist. If space becomes available, you will be notified by the Dolphin Days Director and enrolled if you so choose.
HOW ARE DROP-INS HANDLED?
Drop-in attendance will not be available this summer.
IS THERE A DISCOUNT FOR SIGNING UP FOR MULTIPLE WEEKS OR FOR MULTIPLE CHILDREN?
No. We do not offer a multi-day or sibling discounts.
WHAT IS THE SUPERVISOR / CHILD RATIO?
Dolphin Days will maintain at least a 1:8 staff to child ratio. On a typical day, there will be a 1:6 ratio. There will be 24 children and four staff (the director , assistant director (adult), and two counselors (age 14-18) on average. Since there is usually one age group "out" at swim/tennis practice throughout the day the number present at any give time will usually be fewer.
WHAT IS A TYPICAL DAY LIKE?
Age groups are escorted to and from swim practice and tennis clinics at their regularly scheduled times.
9:00-9:15am Check-in. Parents/guardians may do "drop off" check-in on the front lawn.

DO I NEED TO PACK A SNACK AND LUNCH FOR MY CHILD?
Dolphin Days will provide a mid morning snack. You can pack a lunch or order lunch through the Meadow Kitchen (snack bar). All packed lunches should be nut-free. There will be two Dolphin Bait options in the morning to choose from at sign in. The cost for any Meadow Kitchen lunches will be deducted from your 'My Mealtime' account. Please pack a water bottle.
Dolphin Days snacks will be nut-free. If your child has an allergy of any kind, please be sure to indicate any allergies on the emergency form and alert the staff.
HOW DO DROP OFF AND PICK UP WORK?
Parents/guardians may "drop off" on the front lawn between 9:00-9:15am. After 9:15am, an adult must walk the child into the gated pool area and sign in with a Dolphin Days staff member. If someone other than the parent will be dropping off or picking up the child, this caregiver must be authorized by the parent in advance. Pick up will take place inside the pool area at the bottom left side of the deck stairs.
Children under 9 years old may not be left at Meadow before or after Dolphin Days without an adult guardian.
WHO ANSWERS PARENT QUESTIONS AND CONCERNT?
The Dolphin Days Director can address verbal parent questions. Electronic communications should be directed to the Dolphin Days Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org. This program does not fall under swim/tennis coaches or swim/tennis chairs.
