Frequently Asked Questions

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

The program is open to children, ages 5-10 who are Swim Team/ Mini Dolphins members and/or are enrolled in Tennis Clinics. Children must be potty-trained and water safe (children will not be permitted to swim unless in team practice). Please do not bring sick children. If children are too sick for practice they may not attend Dolphin Days.

HOW DO I SIGN UP? HOW DO I PAY?

Sign-ups and payments are made through Membership Toolkit. Fees vary per session. Payment will be by credit card and/or PayPal at the time of registration.

ARE CANCELLATIONS REFUNDABLE?

We will not be able to accommodate any requests for refund after Tuesday, April 30th.

HOW DO I GET ON THE WAITLIST?

If all the spaces are reserved for a given session, you will be given the option to be added to the Waitlist. If space becomes available, you will be notified by the Dolphin Days Director and enrolled if you so choose.

HOW ARE DROP-INS HANDLED?

Drop-in attendance will not be available.

IS THERE A DISCOUNT FOR SIGNING UP FOR MULTIPLE SESSIONS OR FOR MULTIPLE CHILDREN?

No. We do not offer a multi-session or sibling discounts.

WHAT IS THE SUPERVISOR / CHILD RATIO?

Dolphin Days will maintain at least a 1:8 staff to child ratio. Since there is usually one age group "out" at swim/tennis practice throughout the day the ratio will often be 1:6.

WHAT IS A TYPICAL DAY LIKE?

Age groups are escorted to and from swim practice and tennis clinics at their regularly scheduled times.

7:45-8:00am Check-in. Parents/guardians may do "drop off" check-in on the front lawn.
8:00-10:00am Hands-on activities (arts and crafts projects).
10:15-10:30am Snack that parents will provide everyday.
10:30-11:15am Interactive activities (cheers and cooperative outdoor games).
11:15am-12:00pm Game time (board and card games).
12:15pm-1:00pm Lunch that parents have packed (staggered by age group based on practice schedule).

DO I NEED TO PACK A SNACK AND LUNCH FOR MY CHILD?

Dolphin Days will not provide a mid morning snack. Please parents pack your child with enough snacks for the day. All participants bring a bag lunch or order a Meadow Kitchen lunch. All packed snacks and lunches should be nut-free. Please pack a water bottle.

If your child has an allergy of any kind, please be sure to indicate any allergies on the emergency form and alert the staff.

HOW DO DROP OFF AND PICK UP WORK?

Parents/guardians may "drop off" on the front lawn between 7:45-8:00am. After 8:00am, an adult must walk the child up to the Oak Tree area and sign in with a Dolphin Days staff member. If someone other than the parent will be dropping off or picking up the child, this caregiver must be authorized by the parent in advance. Pick up will take place at the Oak Tree area. A late fee of $10 will be assessed to your account if you arrive past 2pm to sign-out.
Children under 9 years old may not be left at Meadow before or after Dolphin Days without an adult guardian.

WHO ANSWERS PARENT QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS?

The Dolphin Days Director can address verbal parent questions. Electronic communications should be directed to the Dolphin Days Coordinator, at dolphindays@meadowswimandtennis.com. This program does not fall under swim/tennis coaches or swim/tennis chairs.
