  • Lynne Rolley, New Director of Tennis

    Meadow Swim and Tennis Club is pleased to welcome Lynne Rolley as our new Director of Tennis, effective June 1, 2018.

    With over 40 years of teaching and coaching expertise at every level, Lynne has been Director of Tennis at Berkeley Tennis Club, Sleepy Hollow Tennis Club and Moraga Country Club; Director of Women’s Tennis for the United States; coached the Fed Cup, Pan Am Games and National Teams; and was named PTR National Coach of the year.  Most recently, she served as the Director of Tennis at La Quinta Resort and PGA WEST, consistently ranked one of the top tennis resorts in the United States.

    In her early years, she was the first woman to coach a men’s collegiate tennis at St. Mary’s College. Ranked in the top ten as a junior player in the USTA, Lynne is a certified PTR and USPTA Elite Pro 1, member of the ITF International Coaches Commission and 2008 inductee into the Northern California Tennis Hall of Fame. Lynne spent many years coaching top players such as Lindsay Davenport and Jennifer Capriati. She is a renowned speaker and writer for Tennis magazine as well as many other publications; Lynne also appeared on the Tennis Channel with her own academy show.  Lynne is a Lamorinda native and looks forward to moving back to our community.

    Lynne and the tennis committee are hard at work finalizing the plans for our 2018 Junior Summer Program – and expect to have more information to you shortly.

  • Summer Sunday Yoga

    Namaste, Dolphins! Come, breath, stretch and ease in to Sunday morning at Meadow with weekly classes taught by instructors from Humble Yoga and Atma Yoga. This Season, we are excited to offer Yoga classes every Sunday from Memorial Day to Labor Day with the purchase a one-time $25 season pass, anyone in your family gets access to all 14* classes. Bring your own mat, a towel if you need it, and some water.   • Meadow Speaker Series – Meet Your (Wine) Maker

    Hey Wine Enthusiasts, Join us for an evening with Winemaker and Meadow Dolphin ’88, John Wilson of Vine Cliff Winery, Friday May 18 at 7:00pm in the Clubhouse. He’ll talk about the process, the effects of the Napa Fires, and what he’ll be drinking this Summer. Velvety, jammy, subtle hints of sandalwood with a firm backbone but ripe tannins… everything you’d expect from a full-bodied Meadow event!

  • SUNday FUNday – Welcoming New Members!

    SUNday FUNday – Welcoming New Members!

    Come on over to Meadow THIS Sunday May 6th from 3pm – 6pm and join us poolside for hot dogs, cold drinks, and a warmish pool… you, just be cool. Music, corn hole, cannonball contests, and gathering with new and old friends – it promises to be the perfect Sunday afternoon. Let’s show NEW members that Meadow is the hottest Club in town. All. Season. Long. Hope to see you and your family there!

  • Morning Masters/Adult Lap Swim

    Come down to the pool Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays for some early morning swim workouts. Everyone is pretty low key and you do not need to be a competitive swimmer—most participants wear swim fins for the entire workout to improve stroke and swim techniques.  Printed workouts are available. There is no cost for attending. If you are interested or have questions, please contact Link Hirst at linkhirst@gmail.com.

  • Mini Dolphin Registration

    We’ve had an overwhelming response to our Mini Dolphin registration, all sessions are currently at capacity. If you would like to be added to a wait list, please email Coach Matt (m_armanini@hotmail.com).  Be sure to indicate “MINI WAIT LIST” in subject line, and include:

    • swimmers’ names,
    • date of birth (including year)
    • any other relevant information / considerations

    If a space becomes available, Matt will notify you with which session you have been assigned.

  • Dolphin Days Registration Open

    Registration for the Meadow Dolphin Days program is now open.

     

    Dolphin Days is Meadow’s extended summer program offers supervised games, crafts, and activities for children (ages 5-10) when they are not actively participating in their swim team and/or tennis team practices.  For more information about the program, please visit the Meadow website.

     

    Children are checked in at 9:00am and begin their day full of crafts, activities, and games.  They are escorted to and from their swim and tennis practices at the appropriate time for their age group. A nut-free mid-morning snack will be provided; all participants bring a bag lunch or order a Meadow Kitchen lunch at check-in time. At 2:00pm the children are escorted to check-out.

    The program runs Monday-Friday, throughout the regular summer swim season.

    June 11 – August 3 (no Camp on July 4th)

    9:00am – 2:00pm

    $30 per day

    • Step 1: Create a Login.
    • Step 2: Click on the Register Tab and set up your profile in Contact Information, Be sure to scroll to the bottom to click Next Step to add each of your Dolphin Days aged kids.  Save after adding each child.
    • Step 3: Refresh the page to see a New Form for each of your children. Select the days you’d like to attend for the whole program. E-sign the Release Form and Add to Cart.
    • Step 4: Repeat the last step for EACH your kids. Selecting the days they will attend camp, signing the waiver and Add to Cart.
    • Step 5: Checkout and pay by credit card.

    If a day is full, you will automatically be added to the waitlist and notified as soon as space become available.

  • Lap Swim Info

    With the onset of the sunny weather and the official opening of the pool for the season, many Meadow lap swimmers are eager to join in on the fun.
    Lap Swim is open to members before and after regularly scheduled swim team clinics and practices. Regular swim team practice times for the 2018 season are as follows:

    Today – April 26: 4:30-7:30pm

    April 30 – June 7: 3:45-7:45pm
    June 11 – August 2: 8:00am-1:30pm
    June 11 – August 2: M/T/TH 4:30pm-5:45pm

    There is no lap swimming during swim clinics or swim team practices; however during afternoon swim team practices members are welcome to ask a coach if it is possible to open up a lane. If practices are light, they will make every effort to make a lane available.
  • New Parent Meeting

    Join us for an informational New Parent Meeting at the Meadow Clubhouse on April 18, from 7:30-8:30pm.

  • April Tennis Social

    Who’s fired up and ready to kick off tennis season at Meadow? We are! Spring will have sprung, days are longer, and the pool is open so dust off your rackets and get those feet moving. IT’S ADULT SOCIAL TIME! Coach Gavin will be there to offer a clinic from 5:00-5:30pm to anyone interested, followed by social doubles. We can’t stress enough that ALL skill levels are welcome and encouraged to come out and play.

    Time: 5:00 – 8:00om

    Adult beverages and snacks will be provided. We’ll also have childcare in the clubhouse for $20 per child including pizza. Note: children must be out of diapers.
