  • End of Season Hours / Pool Closing Date

The pool hours for the remainder of the season will be as follows:

    Monday-Friday: 3:30 – 6:00pm
    Saturday: 12 :00 – 5:30pm
    Sunday: 12:00 – 4:30pm

At the end of the day the pool covers go on (they either get put on by the swim team or the lifeguards). This keeps the pool warm overnight and saves thousands of dollars on the gas bill.

The Pool closes to the general membership on Sunday, October 21. Swim lessons and Fall clinics continue through November 2.

  • Sunday Yoga Extended!

In anticipation of light attendance due to OMPA, we have decided to cancel THIS Sunday’s Yoga Class. There will be no 8:00am yoga on Sunday, August 5. We will resume classes on Sunday, August 12 (yes, we know that’s County) and, wait for it….we’ve decided to   e x t e n d   through the month of September. Instead of Labor Day (September 2) being our last class, Meadow will provide 8:00am yoga through Sunday, September 30 under the Oak tree on the new turf!!

If you’ve been coming all season long, paid but haven’t made it to a class yet, or are still mulling it over, you still have EIGHT classes to get your “money’s worth” of the one-time fee of $25, good for the whole family! (Drop your check, if you haven’t already, in to the tan guest fee box by the lifeguard office)

Note: the pool is closed to swimming during class time for maintenance, but it does not affect yoga. So mark your calendars with an alert. Bring a mat and meet under the Oak tree for the eight remaining Sundays.

Meadow is pleased to be welcoming several new members to our 2018 Executive Board. Please join us in welcoming Patty Holman as President, Flora Wilson as Vice President, and Neil Brown in charge of club Operations. Thank you for volunteering your time and efforts to help make Meadow great!

Patty Holman and her family moved from New York City to Orinda in August 2015 and joined Meadow in the Spring of 2016. Patty spends a lot of time at Meadow as a rookie tennis player and at swim practices/lessons for her children (ages 7 and 4). Prior to moving to Orinda, Patty was an auditor for a public accounting firm with a wide range of experience in the real estate, retail, services and manufacturing industries. She has also served as the President for the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting, San Francisco Chapter and is currently the Wagner Ranch Parents’ Club Treasurer. Patty holds a Masters in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame and a BS in Business Administration from UC Berkeley.

Flora Wilson and her family joined Meadow shortly after moving to Orinda in 2015. When not at Meadow trying to improve her tennis, Flora is a stay-at-home mother to two sons, a third-grader and a kindergartener at Glorietta. Previously, Flora worked in the banking, financial services, and biotech industries in New York City, London, and Switzerland. Flora holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a BA in Economics and German Studies from Stanford University.

Neil Brown is a long-time Orinda resident and 10-year veteran of Meadow. His wife Amy, and two boys Griffin (14) and Lleyton (10) enjoy swimming and tennis and are all huge Meadow Fans. Neil is also a water polo player and has organized several introductory water polo clinics with Lamorinda Water Polo’s Eldad Hazor. He joins us as our new Operations chair!
