  • 2019 Swim Season Information

    Mini Dolphins
In order to enroll for the Mini Dolphins Swim Program in 2019, each participant must be 3.5 years old AND must be able to put their face in the water, leave the stairs/wall on their own. For those who do NOT meet this benchmark, they should sign up for private lessons with Coach Kyle, Coach Sean or Coach Matt. Lessons are available until November 2nd of 2018, and will start up again in March 2019 when Spring Clinics start. Please email the coaches direct to book lessons:

    Kyle Peterson – toachtyle@gmail.com
    Sean Malley – sean_malley@yahoo.com
    Matt Armanini – m_armanini@hotmail.com

    Swim Team
Each age group programs will be headed by at least two senior coaches. The breakdown is as follows:

Minis – Coach Kyle and Coach Matt
6 & Unders – Coach Kyle and Coach Matt
7-8’s – Coach Kyle and Coach Sean
9-10’s – Coach Matt and Coach Sean
11-12’s – Coach Matt and Coach Sean
13 & Up – Coach Dave, Coach Matt and Coach Sean

Similar to the Mini Dolphin program, lessons are available presently until fall swim ends on November 2, 2018, and will start up again in March 2019. Please email the coaches direct (at email addresses listed above) for availability.

    Junior Coaches
Junior Coaches will have to attend a mandatory meeting in February, as well as complete mandatory training sessions in March in order to be cleared to coach. Additionally, those who satisfactorily completed all requirements to coach will continue to go through training as they coach Minis and 8&Under workouts. Again, no Junior Coach will be allowed to coach unless he/she has attended the February meeting, has completed ALL March training sessions, and has completed ALL paperwork. Paperwork will be given out at the February meeting and must be turned in by March 1, 2019 to the coaches’ office.

  • Tennis Social: October 21

Tennis Social Time! Please join us for what will likely be our final adult tennis social for the 2018 season (bring on the rain/snow- afterwards!).

    Sunday, October 21
    4:00pm to 6:00pm
    Meadow Tennis Courts!

We’ll have pizza for everyone and babysitters for the kids at $15/child (must be out of diapers). We’re asking that everyone RSVP to alison@aspireprco.com so we can be sure to have enough food, drink, and sitters for all. Looking forward to some fun, casual match play!

  • End of Season Hours / Pool Closing Date

The pool hours for the remainder of the season will be as follows:

    Monday-Friday: 3:30 – 6:00pm
    Saturday: 12 :00 – 5:30pm
    Sunday: 12:00 – 4:30pm

At the end of the day the pool covers go on (they either get put on by the swim team or the lifeguards). This keeps the pool warm overnight and saves thousands of dollars on the gas bill.

The Pool closes to the general membership on Sunday, October 21. Swim lessons and Fall clinics continue through November 2.

  • Tennis Committee

The Meadow Tennis Committee is looking for a few members to join the committee to help run the adult and youth Meadow tennis programs. Positions include social, communications, adult tennis liaison, and junior tennis liaison.  In addition, we are looking for someone to take on the role of Junior Tennis Chair.  Interested members should contact our Sr. Tennis Chair, John Abruzzo.
  • Sunday Yoga Extended!

In anticipation of light attendance due to OMPA, we have decided to cancel THIS Sunday’s Yoga Class. There will be no 8:00am yoga on Sunday, August 5. We will resume classes on Sunday, August 12 (yes, we know that’s County) and, wait for it….we’ve decided to   e x t e n d   through the month of September. Instead of Labor Day (September 2) being our last class, Meadow will provide 8:00am yoga through Sunday, September 30 under the Oak tree on the new turf!!

If you’ve been coming all season long, paid but haven’t made it to a class yet, or are still mulling it over, you still have EIGHT classes to get your “money’s worth” of the one-time fee of $25, good for the whole family! (Drop your check, if you haven’t already, in to the tan guest fee box by the lifeguard office)

Note: the pool is closed to swimming during class time for maintenance, but it does not affect yoga. So mark your calendars with an alert. Bring a mat and meet under the Oak tree for the eight remaining Sundays.

  • Lifeguard Hours: Aug 6-21

From August 6 to August 21, lifeguard hours will be from 10:00am to 7:00pm daily. Hours will be adjusted after the August 22 start of the school year.

  • Tennis Social: August 2

The time has come, with great anticipation, for the first adult tennis social with our new tennis pro, Lynne Rolley. This is a great opportunity to hone your skills or pick up some new ones while socializing with Meadow friends. As always, we welcome all ability levels! Lynne will be conducting a 30-minute warm-up/refresher starting at 5:30pm sharp then casual doubles match play will ensue.

    When:
    Thursday, August 2, 2018
    5:30pm to 8:30pm

    Where:
    Meadow tennis courts, of course!

    What to Bring:
Nothing necessary but if you can grab a snack or drink to share that would be much appreciated.

We will have babysitters on site for $20 per child which includes pizza. Children need to be out of diapers.

Please RSVP to jennifer.essner@gmail.com to let us know if you’ll be playing and most importantly if you’ll be using the babysitter.

Looking forward to seeing you on the courts!

    Best,

Alison Stout and Jen Essner (Meadow Tennis Social Co-Chairs)
